Our panels

The HTA programme is supported by six advisory panels for the commissioned research workstream, and one prioritisation group focused on prioritising proposals received from researchers in the researcher-led funding stream.

Diagnostic Technologies and Screening Panel examines research suggestions in the areas of diagnostic technologies and screening

Disease Prevention Panel focuses on research to promote health, prevent disease and reduce health inequalities

Interventional Procedures Panel covers interventional procedures e.g. which involve incision, puncture, entry into a body cavity or the use of ionising, electromagnetic or acoustic energy

Pharmaceuticals Panel examines research suggestions involving drugs and the prescribing of them

External Devices and Physical Therapies Panel covers a wide range of physical therapies, rehabilitative interventions and external devices.

Psychological and Community Therapies Panel focuses on interventions in the areas of mental health, learning disability, dementia and primary care.
