Changes to methodology research funding

The NIHR and the MRC have a new joint arrangement for methodology research. The Methodology Research Programme (MRP), managed by MRC is jointly funded by the NIHR and MRC . The MRP will be the main NIHR/MRC funding mechanism for underpinning methodology research.

The MRP will fund both investigator-led and commissioned research, and in time oversee other targeted methodology work streams. The NIHR and MRC joint arrangement has been developed with OSCHR.
