Headline: |
Report finds some evidence suggesting that harm to pulmonary function in patients with cystic fibrosis-related diabetes (CFRD) occurs at lower blood glucose levels than those used for defining other types of diabetes, and suggests that the definition of CFRD should be based on pulmonopathy risk, rather than using the classical definition of diabetes. Treatment should perhaps start below the usual thresholds for diagnosing diabetes. |
